I have not camped here yet but I have been hiking in the area and have used the reservoir many times. The current camp host is amazing. Instead of trying to fine me for remaining in the lot after dark, he checked on understanding that I got stuck on the trail and let me out of the gate. Be careful on the hidden oaks trail. It is way harder and more dangerous than you think. This is especially so at dusk. I turned back barely in time to see without a flashlight. It was also hard on my dogs.
