Campsite: Adventure Bound Pleasant View

Would camp there again if they get a handle on the noise issues. Three nights in a row what appeared to be seasonal campers tour the nightly rental areas of the campground honking their horns & playing music as some sort of game. Just before midnight three nights in a row golf carts circled the rental areas of the grounds honking to agitate campers. You could hear other campers screaming at them to cut it out & they’d leave to then return a few min later. This went on three nights in a row involving multiple golf carts & individuals. It appeared to be some sort of game to them. I brought this up to the office when I checked out & was rebutted with the question of why didn’t I call & complain at the time of the issue. Based on reading other reviews & the way the disruptions played out every night I think it’s safe to assume that this is an ongoing game carried out by seasonal campers & the office presumably hasn’t been able to control the problem. Yet I’m told if I don’t return my Gate Key Card on checkout I’ll be charged $50 & I was charged an early check-in fee for arriving 40min early to an empty campsite. There is a lot of moving pieces to this campground, it can be a awesome destination for family’s with kids. Aside from the dust, a more managed speed limit & what appears to be an ongoing issue with noise disruption at night I think it’s a great location. The nightly sites are VERY close together as previously mentioned in other reviews but worked out for us as we camped next to friends. Overall experience was positive but the 11-midnight convoy of drunk campers honking horns as they circled the nightly rental area of the grounds is not acceptable. One would think that would be a critical factor in a guests experience if they’ve got children, or dogs that don’t sleep or respond well to music so loud it wakes you followed by horn honking in waves about every 5min around midnight. Charge me for arriving 40min early but not the regulars that have developed a game of disrupting nightly campers with horns & music at midnight. I was told that quiet hours start at 11pm. So the convoy that circles the area at 10:30pm is called the Golf Cart Parade & deemed acceptable. No horn honking goes on during the day from what I noticed, that activity was reserved late night hours. Fix that issue & this place will be a prime destination in my opinion; they’ve got SO much good stuff going for them there. Also while I’m throwing stones…to counter all the dust they may consider switching from what I presume is 304 stone w/ dust to 57’s, that may help or use a watering tractor like what other grounds use with pond water twice a day to keep the dust down. It wasn’t a little dusty, it was SUPER dusty. Perfection isn’t easy, these guys are close though. Also, the Dog Park area is great. Lastly, in talking with friends that camped next to us…we noticed that there were only two designated areas with dumpsters on the property. We thought this was great because it didn’t result in dumpsters on every corner. Though that may be an inconvenience to some we though it was a good part of the grounds…though its Labor Day weekend & all the dumpsters were more than over flowing by end of day today they may be able to utilize either larger dumpsters or add a few &/or coordinate a pickup going into the busy weekend if they hadn’t already.
