Campsite: Ocean Pines RV Park

We have only been using our camper for about two years now so this review may be somewhat biased. Have stayed at several civilian run campgrounds which were nice but they are all stuffed tight to the point that some campers with awnings and sliders won't fit. That won't be a problem at any of these sites. They do have Wifi but it is very weak and non existent in some spots. All the sites that we have stayed at were level and hook ups close by. Yes there are many active military that live here and have to relocate every 30 days (rediculous). Most of these people are friendly and very helpful with setting up your camper or pointing out places to go for good eats or recreation. Even with several home steading campers there is usually an open spot as long as you plan ahead. The office, rest room, laundry is kept clean. The laundry machines do have their issues as most of them are out of order which I believe is due to age. They do try to keep them up but you can only do so much for 20 year old machines. There is only one person (Amanda) that is in the office from 10am to 4pm. That same person also makes regular rounds in the campgrounds. I think she does a wonderful job considering all her responsibilities. I have been in the office when three people were checking in and the phone ringing then someone comes in complaining they are having a hard time hooking up their camper. It's amazing she still has any hair left. Although this RV sight comes under MWR they do not get much financial assistance from them. The office manager has on her own set up a monthly pot luck which most of the campers participate in and she has a movie at the end. She also has set up easter egg hunts for the children. There is a 5 MPH speed limit which is strictly monitored by the manager AND residents, there are several young children in the park. Just remember this is not your luxury resort campground, No pool, No cable tv, No lake or pond, No real Wifi, or camp store but it is quiet except for the random sound of freedom and clean spacious sites. Also you are only paying 25$ and day for FHU for which can't be beat.
