We just finished our first camping trip to Camp Taylor (tent site) and absolutely loved it. I like that the campground is strict with their rules, makes for a very enjoyable stay. No noise issues on Friday or Saturday night. The location is great for hiking the Water Gap and mountain biking Stephens/Allamuchy which is why we selected it. Wolves sounded off in the mornings around 6:45-7am and it was one of our favorite things laying in the tent and hearing them. The tent sites are pretty well separated from hook up/seasonal sites and we enjoyed the more primitive feel in that section of the property. Staff was friendly at check in. Restroom/showers were clean. Couldn't ask for more. Was hoping to return one more time the last weekend in October but they'll end their season just before. We'll definitely be back in the Spring.
