A great trail. We decided to sleep in our car in the parking lot to make sure we could start at 2AM. People were coming in all night and were very loud. Not a great place to crash. Started hiking at 2:10 with our head lamps on. Got to the summit just after 7am for sunrise. This trail was packed, parking lot full by 2AM on Saturday, it was warm, cold, and freezing on the trail. Bring layers if you plan to hike early. The top was beautiful when the sun came out but there were a lot of people there. No water along the way so pack it. Round trip took us about 8:50 with a nice long stop at the top to admire the sunrise. Long hike, be prepared.
