Remote and small, but stunning campground! Nestled on one side of Baxter it's Clean, friendly, fun and fly fishing only. Host's were amazing, seasonal campers receptive and warm. This is an experience for those that want the true experience of getting away from it all. Electricity is on generator with Wi-Fi excessible during certain times of the day. They offer HOT showers at 3$ per shower. While non traditional bathrooms (out house) and camp shower they are remarkably clean and everyone respects the rules of clean camping.
If you have a low suspension vehicle we suggest going slow on the way in and enter through millinocket ..you will understand why when you get there but don't let it deter you from going! I highly recommend it and I am a lover of electricity and indoor plumbing. But would trade it all to go back!
There are no words to describe the vastness of the night sky, or mist that swirls off the lake at sunrise and the trout jumping at the 1st fly or the wild bunnies that cross the camp roads at dusk! Close to Baxter and so many other senic places! Truly God's country and a must do!
