We recently had an amazing time exploring the Snowy Range, and our stay at Sugarloaf Campground was nothing short of spectacular. The campground offers some of the most breathtaking views in the entire area.

Despite having a 34’ fifth wheel, we managed to comfortably fit into site 4. While this particular site had slightly more traffic compared to others, it didn’t bother us much. In fact, it added a sense of liveliness to the atmosphere.

From the convenience of our campsite, we were treated to remarkable wildlife sightings. One memorable encounter was witnessing a majestic bull moose peacefully feeding in the nearby valley. Additionally, we were entertained by countless chipmunks scurrying about, adding a touch of playful charm to our stay.

However, it’s important to note that Sugarloaf Campground is situated above 10,000 ft, which might pose a challenge for some campers. The higher altitude could potentially lead to altitude sickness, so it’s advisable to take necessary precautions if you’re susceptible to such conditions.

Overall, our experience at Sugarloaf Campground in the Snowy Range was simply unforgettable. The awe-inspiring views, wildlife encounters, and the occasional traffic were minor considerations compared to the immense enjoyment we had during our stay. We highly recommend this campground to nature enthusiasts seeking a remarkable camping experience amidst picturesque surroundings.
