Beautiful area. Lots of pine trees and aspens. Great escape from the summer heat. Bathrooms were spotless and smelled nice, flushing toilets was a great perk. There are water spigots spread throughout camp but not at every site. Camp host made his rounds and was available if we needed him. Some of the sites are just on the shoulder of the road that winds through the campground. So your tent would be right next to the road, but there isn’t much traffic so don’t let that deter you. Metal tables with benches are at every site. The campground is at Lower Kent’s Lake. Lower Kent’s Lake is definitely not the size of a lake, but a good size pond. The free metal canoes and life jackets and paddles were such a great bonus. We had lots of fun paddling around the lake. Lots of ducks. There was a lot of green algae and moss in the lake. No one wanted to step foot in it. We didn’t try to fish there either. We did go middle of August so maybe there isn’t as much earlier in the season. We fished at Kent’s lake (right next door) and Anderson lake. Caught two fish at each. Anderson lake was clearer and definitely more fish jumping. The stars at night were breathtaking. No cell service for Verizon or T-Mobile. Just what we needed. Closest stores for ice and supplies is in beaver. You have to pack out your garbage. Can’t wait to come back again!
