I don't know what I loved more about this place... The warm smell of pine on the breeze, or soothing sound of the river gurgling at night. I really enjoyed the tools available to remove excess fire pit ashes and rake away needles and pinecones from the fire rings. Very helpful.

My only gripe (first world problems) is that the restrooms were unlit. Nothing that a cellphone flashlight app couldn't fix, but twilight hours were a little tricky. As someone who's seen snakes and spiders in campground toilets, I like to see what I'm sitting on.

Our visit was a little too early in the season, so the nearby visitor center wasn't opened up yet.
