Campsite: Potato Patch Campground

We enjoyed our stay. We went Sunday- Tuesday, and it was very peaceful. Our site had full hookups. The 30A receptacle was cracked, but still worked. We went across the main road and checked out Mingus Lake, which was nice.

The camp host was friendly if you could catch her out and around the campground. She had 6 dogs of various sizes on very long leashes that would go ape-$hit if you approached or came anywhere near the host site. One of the little dogs had a long enough leash that allowed it to run out into the street to bark and growl if you walked past the host site. Which makes the host unapproachable except for when she is making her rounds! I'd guessed it was a tactic to keep people from bothering her, but the host should be available without fear of being attacked by 6 dogs.

Campsite: Bryce Canyon RV Resort by Rjourney

We really enjoyed our stay at Bryce Canyon RV Resort. I booked our site several months in advance when planning our trip to explore Bryce Canyon national park to make sure that I got the spot I wanted. My camp neighbor who was on leg 8 of a 25 stop trip, commented that she'd wanted our site, but didn't book soon enough. The camp ground is quite and somewhat centrally located between several areas we wanted to see: Bryce Canyon, Escalante and a couple of other day trips to check out the area. The campground was kept clean and staff was friendly. They have shower and laundry facilities. We stayed in the back of the campground so it was quite and had a great view of the cliffs in the distance. This is a great campground to stay at, and we'll definitely book again the next time we head back to the area. Make sure to check out the local restaurants down the street headed towards Bryce Canyon, as the food and service are awesome.

Campsite: Zion River Resort

We stayed at Zion River Resort RV Park when we took our trip up to explore Zion National Park. We happened to go during a heat wave of 102 degrees, but camping next to the river was nice. The pool was regularly packed full of people trying to cool down. I picked up a portable water mister that I set outside of our trailer by the picnic table, which helped to keep us cool. The resort was kept clean and staff was very friendly. They had a nice on-site store that was stocked with gifts, trinkets, food and other snacks. The staff was helpful in planning trips, and had a shuttle that dropped us off and picked us up from the park so that we didn't have to worry about fighting for parking within Zion. We'll definitely return to the campground on future trips to the area.

Campsite: Cataract Valley Backcountry Campsites — Mount Rainier National Park

I absolutely love hiking at Mount Rainier National Park. I grew up in Washington, and seeing the mountain in the distance. It is such a majestic place. I moved to Arizona and miss seeing and exploring the mountain.

Campsite: Millersylvania State Park

We enjoyed the walking trails around Millersylvania state park. It is a very peaceful place to spend the afternoon. When we went the trails were muddy in a few spots.
