Although this has taken me a year to write, only because I had forgotten about it, but now looking for accommodations for this year reminded me.
Let me just say. We had our motorhome, and only planned on 1 night in Long Beach on our way back home. Well, what was one night turned into 7 nights and it was an amazing place. The hosts are fantastic and I appreciate the rules.f someone ever wants to complain about keeping your camp tidy, keeping yourself courteous then you need to check yourself. Rv people expect to have neighbors, except decency and want to enjoy their stay wherever and for however long it may be.
I for one like a tidy campground, it shows they care about their customers, the way the park looks, and ultimately the safety is f its people. The laundry was so nice to have, and I wasn’t planning with one day. We picked a spot closest to the beach and they were sure to let us know that there can be ocean breeze. We didn’t care. But the fact there was other options to chose se was nice to let us select. We have pets, we pick up after them, are courteous of our neighbors. If you can’t do that, then stay home. They were knowledgeable about the area, the activities and were excited to share the opening of the other park south of ling beach. We had to go see it. So have fun and enjoy this well staffed, clean facility right on the beach.
First, I just want to say, any reviews regarding customer service you need to disregard if it was before October 2019, there is new ownership and their customer service is a 180 from the prior owners. I would agree that before, it was terrible customer service from owners that just wanted out, and acted miserable.
With that being said, we went took a drive out there yesterday 03/28/20, to see what the new owners have done. We had not been out there since change of ownership. Let me say, the place as you drive up had an instant transformation. It no longer looked like a junkyard sectioned off by fences, random places to drop stuff. It was cleaned up, a new general store for all your fishing needs including hunting and fishing licenses. All the buildings now match, the whole organization of everything is obvious.
I could go on and on, although you just need to go see for yourself. They are still working to make this an enjoyable experience for fisherman, boaters, campers and family day trips (I even hear they are going to do a beach for kiddos). It sounds like the open house will be in May. Go check it out for yourself. I know we can’t wait to go camp and enjoy their services.
