Would not recommend visiting the Chickasawhey wildlife management area. A huge portion of the Forrest has the trees cut. Log trucks are constantly on the roads at high speeds, passing them is not safe. The roads are in terrible shape some are not drivable and poorly maintained. A huge portion of the forrest is burned annually and not useful. Most Wildlife has all but vanished. The camping areas are completely abandoned by the state, bring a mower if you plan to set up a tent. No restrooms are available without paying. Don't forget to purchase your WMA permit to visit. Not sure where that money goes.
