We were lucky to make some last minute reservations here in the pre-snowbird season (November) and we LOVED it! There are a variety of sites to choose from based on what you like (trees, no trees, in a circle, along a fence, close to bath house and laundry, close to pool, close to dog park...) They also have cabins and casitas to rent which look very nice if RV camping is not your thing. This place is walking distance to the Bentsen RGV State Park, offer free bicycles, is super clean and beautifully landscaped, two bath houses and laundry facilities, a beautiful pool and spa and the best and biggest fenced in dog park we have ever encountered in ANY RV park. Separate large and small dog areas as well as an agility course. Dogs are also welcome at the state park next door, which has hiking trails. The park is right at the border to Mexico but felt and was very safe and secure. It is a birding and butterfly paradise. The National Butterfly Center is only 1.5 miles down the road. Another incredible bonus is the full sized wood working shop on site. You can work on any project and there are people there to help and monitor. Any and every type of woodworking machinery is available. They also offer classes in the winter. Also a crafting room where they do quilting and other crafts. This place was a great find. We will be back! The front office , guest services and grounds staff were very helpful and friendly. AND they sell Klondike bars. An added bonus!
