This was just about the only campground open when we went. My daughter had requested a camping ONLY trip--rather than river running or rock hounding like the rest of the summer was--so it was important to us to find SOMETHING. It's kind of an odd campground to me. Most spaces were very open, with a lot just sections in a field. It felt more like a place for groups or parties. A few spots were more wooded, but so small we couldn't fit our large 10 person tent. We found one that was a bit more protected on 2 sides, and it happened to be right on the river and as close to the restrooms as possible, save 1 closer spot that was taken. With 3 kids only 6 and 7yo, that was important. The kids LOVED the river, and our site was right at a calm pool, so it felt relatively safe. The restrooms had running water and soap. They weren't pretty, but were some of the cleaner campground restrooms I've seen! The hosts were pleasant and helpful. As a whole, the campground to me felt sort of pieced together from leftover parts. Fire pits varied in material and size, some sites had a concrete pad or a gravel pad, others didn't. It wasn't bad, just a bit odd.
