Off the beaten path but extremely worth the visit. Hard to find. There are no signs on the highway. The turn is in the town Washakie, Wyoming, on the Shoshone reservation Hwy US 287. The cemetery is humbling and awe striking. There is no sign on the highway in town to indicate where to turn towards the cemetery, but you can find it. As you drive the road towards the cemetery, there is one small handmade sign indicating where the cemetery is. Go there. Our Government should be ashamed to not put a sign on the highway.
