Camp sites at the lake are “ WALK IN” sites if you are tent camping..site 23 is 1/3 of a mile from the car..they provide wheelbarrows to get your gear into the site..that’s 4 round trips or about 3 miles of pushing a wheelbarrow..however site 23 is the most beautiful site we’ve had throughout decades of camping..we’ve camped the Rock Creek area many times and will return but lower down as 9600ft is hard at 73..kudos to the forest service as facilities/ fishing/parking/cleanliness was great..awesome adventure
