Campsite: Redcrest Resort

Redcrest Resort is a small, well-maintained resort located right on the Avenue of the Giants in Redcrest, California. The town is very small, with a population of just over 120 people, so expect a quiet time, unless you are visiting during peak summer travel, when the resort can get a bit crowded.

The back-in RV sites at Redcrest Resort are small, the resort was built before large rigs with pop-outs. Only one of the two pull-through sites could barely accommodate my 32-foot bumper pull RV. The rest of the sites are better suited for small, vintage style rigs, or Smaller Motor Homes, Sprinter Vans, etc. The sites have Sewer, Water and 30 amp power only, so bring an adapter if needed. There is a single wash house but that's it. At $85 a night for a family of 4 during November (off season) we found it expensive.

However, if you have a small RV or are tent camping, Redcrest Resort is a cool and remote spot to camp and explore the redwood forest around you. The resort has a fire pit and it is located within walking distance of several redwood hiking trails.

Overall, I would recommend Redcrest Resort to campers and RVers who are looking for a quiet and scenic place to stay in the redwood forest. However, I would advise booking in advance, especially if you are visiting during peak summer travel.

Here are some pros and cons of staying at Redcrest Resort:

Pros:

Well-maintained property

Located right on the Avenue of the Giants

Fire pit

Walking distance to several redwood hiking trails

Cons:

Back-in RV sites are small and close together

Pull-Through Sites are inadequate for anything over 32'

Pricey

Can get crowded during peak summer travel

Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Campsite: Riverbend Campground

Overall rating: 3/5 stars

Pros:

Well-laid out sites

Clean and quiet campground

Friendly staff

Close to the Methow River

Cons:

No sewer hookups

Only 120 and 50 amp service (no 30 amp)

Extra $10 per night for a towing vehicle

Details:

The sites at Riverbend RV campground are well-spaced and have plenty of room to maneuver your RV. The campground is clean and quiet, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The campground is located close to the Methow River, which is a great place to go fishing, hiking, and kayaking.

However, there are a few downsides to the campground. There are no sewer hookups, so you will need to dump your tanks regularly. The campground only has 120 and 50 amp service, so if you are on 30 amp, you will need to bring an adapter or pick one up at the office. The campground also charges an extra $10 per night for a towing vehicle, which I think is a bit excessive.

Overall, Riverbend RV campground is a decent place to stay if you are looking for a clean and quiet campground near the Methow River. However, be aware of the lack of sewer hookups and the extra charge for a towing vehicle before you book your stay.

Here are some tips for your next stay at Riverbend RV campground:

Bring an adapter if you are on 30 amp service.

Be prepared to dump your tanks regularly.

Book your stay in advance, especially during the peak season.

Consider staying at a different campground if you have a large towing vehicle.

I hope this helps!

Campsite: SunCountry Golf Course & RV Park

The RV Park: The RV park has only 14 sites, all with full hookups and 50 amp service. Some of the sites are long, so make sure you have extra power, water, and sewer lines with you. The sites book up quickly, so it is important to make a reservation in advance. The rates are $49 per night Monday through Thursday and $60 per night Friday through Sunday. The park is closed mid-October through March.

Golf Course: The golf course is a 18-hole, par 72 course that is long and narrow. It has quite a few aerial drop shops, so it is a challenging course. The course is well-maintained and the greens are fast. The course is a must play if you are in the area or staying at the park.

Overall, Suncountry Golf Club and RV Resort Cle Elum Washington is a great place to stay if you are looking for a challenging golf course and a quiet RV park. The park is well-maintained and the staff is friendly. However, the park is small and the sites book up quickly, so it is important to make a reservation in advance.

Here are some additional pros and cons of the RV park:

Pros:

Full hookups and 50 amp service

Quiet and peaceful setting

Friendly staff

Close to the golf course

Affordable rates

Cons:

Small park with limited number of sites

No Pull-Through Sites

Sites book up quickly

Closed mid-October through March

Overall, I would recommend Suncountry Golf Club and RV Resort Cle Elum Washington to golfers who are looking for a challenging course and a quiet RV park. However, if you are looking for a larger RV park with more amenities, this may not be the best option for you.
