We stayed here for about 2 months and overall had a good experience. Concrete spots, large yards, beautiful lakes, very kind staff, and they put on a lot of events for the campers. They also cooked for everyone often, which we really enjoyed.

I give 3 stars for a couple reasons. We were under the impression the pool would be done within a couple weeks after moving in at the beginning of July, and it still was not complete when we left last week. Not sure if this was a miscommunication or if we were just told incorrectly, because one of the reasons we came to this campground was to enjoy a pool for the rest of the summer. Also, the water here is very VERY hard. I would not recommend staying more than a night or two without a water filtration system and water softener. All our filters and water hoses were covered in rust from any water dripping, and our sinks and shower stained orange from the water. It smells of metal at first, but then turns to a rotten egg smell after a while. We fought this the whole time and it made it very unenjoyable to do basic things like shower, brush our teeth, wash our hands, etc.

This is definitely a good weekend getaway not close to many things, but if you’re looking to stay monthly prepare to drive 30+ minutes to town.

I think once this campground finishes adding amenities and gets some type of water filtration system in place, it will be a wonderful campground. It’s only been open a couple months, and it always takes time to work out the kinks, but due to the how awful the water was I can’t say we will come back here.
