Campsite: Ocean City State Park

Barely found a last min reservation for the weekend, at this beautiful park, to camp!

We reached around 9 pm on Friday , didn’t have any problem finding or setting up at our site , which was 38 in loop 2.

Very conveniently located for us as we needed a large space upfront to manoeuvre and park our tent trailer , which was our very first time using and setting it up. There was water tap right in front and washrooms at the back of site! Ample privacy and very quiet location. Loved staying here for 3 nights!

Could hear the ocean waves at night, went for early morning walks . Family friendly park! Took a day trip to seaside and Westport ! Restrooms and showers are very clean and conveniently located.

Campsite: Fort Flagler Historical State Park

Hidden gem along the ocean!

We booked a vacation house and it was old building, built in 1905, but was clean!

2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and kitchen living room and porch on the main level. Lush grounds, lots of walking tracks and amazing ocean views , made it a very relaxing and quiet vacation!

Gorgeous views from the porch and bedroom, lots of deer, birds and boats!

Campsite: Douglas Fir Campground

A beautiful forest setting with lots of hikes around the campground , yet close to a town, maple falls, Douglas fir campground is one of our favourite places, to go camp and explore the mount baker hills.

The host is nice, sites are close by and doesn’t provide much privacy but on the bright side, there are no mosquitos and the pit toilets are clean! There’s water and garbage disposal available.

Nooksack river flows by the campsites and birds chirping close!

The nearest grocery store is 10 miles away, couple of local restaurants and eat in places are there. Mount baker Artist point is like 25 miles from the campground which is surreal experience to drive up to the top! See the Mighty mountains up close!

This campground gets busy in the summer time, make sure you have reservation, before you go!
