I’ve passed the place many times but never stopped in until now. Wow…what a little gem. It was mid October so it wasn’t busy.

My wife and I took a short walk on the hiking trail and then went around the lake. The view of the Catskill mountains was beautiful with the Fall colors. I plan to be back to take a longer hike and also check out the camping area.

Entering the park there is an entrance booth which wasn’t open so the park was free. I’m not sure if the day use area has a fee during the season. The campground is open from mid May to early October. The Day Use area is open year round. There is a large parking lot and a building with bathrooms that wasn’t open this time of the year.
