My husband and I had such a fun stay at Sandy Pines! Normally we love to camp, but it was our baby-moon, so we stayed in one of the Birch Grove Couples Cottages and the king bed was so comfortable. Honestly we both slept great all three nights. The bath houses are individual toilet/shower combos that were kept very clean. Great breakfast sandwiches at the general store on the weekend, and we even enjoyed the pool one morning. Sandy Pines was our home base to explore Kennebunkport (less than 15 min drive) and Portland (40 min drive). It was Labor Day weekend, so the campground was busy but everyone was really nice, friendly and observed quiet hours. Not the place for you if you want seclusion…it is a campground after all, and we are used to that atmosphere. Would definitely come back with one more in tow next time!
