I ended up camping here with a group when our initial options didnt work and it was nearing sundown. I'm not sure if you're technically allowed to camp in this spot so I would recommend double checking with local authorities to make sure. That being said, it was a great place to stop for the night. The sand was nice and soft and provided a better place to sleep and it was surrounded by a lot of foliage like sage and yucca. We had no reason to worry about getting washed out but I would still double check the weather because if you're camping here when I rains you're gonna have a bad time.

One last thing: we actually ran into a herd of free range cattle here! Definitely a cool experience.
