Amenities and general grounds are really nice. Plumbing in all the bathrooms, showers available, and a boat launch area for those interested. My issue comes with the staff. I've been coming here since I was maybe 6 or 7 year old with family and every year the staff seems to get worse but this year was enough for me to say something about. A few weeks ago I went to stay with family for 2 nights and 3 days and there was no hot water in the shower for nearly the entire time we were there. We sent someone to let staff know at least twice per day and they just kept saying they'd get someone on it. Last day there, apparently my car tag fell off and my brother admitted later he found it and thought it was trash and put it in the fire. Point being, they came and started threatening to tow and fee me, I showed them my bank statement showing the charge and they refused to hear me out, and I went and paid for a day pass just to settle things. My final straw came when my father went to tell the local campground keeper that there was still no hot water and she got in her cart and drove off without acknowledging him in any way and left him talking alone. Added in with the fact that the campground bathrooms were a mess the entire time we were there with one of the men's stall so dirty it was almost unusable, the general staff and upkeep of the area left much to be desired. I used to love this place growing up but with my experiences in the last few years and this last one most of all, I will be finding a new campground. That being said, if you are looking for just day use, this is still a pretty good spot as far as beach area is concerned.
