Absolutely love this park and all the history surrounding it. We have camped there 2 times now and the trains are not a bother to us. They’re trains, there is a visible train bridge, not sure why you would expect it to be a quiet train running across but 🤷🏻♀️ We took the Jesse James cave pontoon ride and it was jam packed of great scenery and information. The guy that hosts is a native to the area and has lots of history and jokes to keep you looking and laughing. Devils Gulch is worth the walk when visiting! The town of Garretson has a small strip with a store for ice and forgotten goodies. Can’t wait to kayak next time we go. The scenery is amazing and the wildlife is beautiful. Highly recommend for a short visit or overnight camp. Bathrooms are very clean and stocked.
