My aunt and I tent camped here on the coldest weekend of October (2023) since the 1990's and we had a blast. It's beautiful here. The campsites are extremely new with soft rubber "rocks" for a comfortable padding underneath the tent. Electric outlets made easy access for our devices and the personal water spigot for cooking and washing was definitely helpful. Each site has newly built picnic tables and new, deep fire pits are extra safe for bonfires. Cheap, dry firewood is plentiful. They also have the newest and CLEANEST bathrooms of any KOA. Showers, toilets and sinks were sparkling! The camp store is stocked with everything you need and more, including beer and wine. I got some cool KOA Newberry vynal stickers and a couple packs of powders that turn your bonfire different colors and some cokes. When I say the campground employees and residents are the nicest, sweetest, kindest, most caring people I've ever encountered at a KOA I mean it! Russ, Deb, Linda, Babs - we appreciate your friendly support and conversation, you made our stay an amazing adventure. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks again!
