I wouldn’t not stay here but….. it’s not my favorite either. We just stayed here august 28th-31st 2022.

So when we booked on the web site it said one spot remaining. That was hilarious we were the only ones here for three days. A KOA Journey’s amenities should be open past 5:00pm/7pm, jump pad, game room, pool, Laundry hours are insanely short. We are use to our hometown koa (Madison pa) where laundry and game room are open 24 hrs. It is gated. You need a $10 cash deposit for a key. During the day the staff is very visible zooming on golf carts.

Dog park is a nice decent size. Non sewer Campsites are like double lots with mature trees, awesome if you have a dog. But scary to be in a pop up under the trees in the storm we experienced. A lot are dead. Pine needles suck and cover everything.

The bathroom is horrible. I complained about it 6yrs ago (last time we were here) and they are still 100% the same. The showers have no pressure, very small. you cannot control the temperature. The ladies has 3 toilet stalls, and 2 shower stalls. Busy weekends be prepared for a little wait. Showers are a push button that you have to keep pushing every 10 seconds so it stays running a bit of a pain when my daughter isn't strong enough to do it herself I got soaked.

The pond is a fishing only spot no swimming. Kids caught a ton of fish, and loved the boats. The pool is along the main road that is quite busy and noisy. It would be nice to see them plant some tall grass to seclude it or something. The pool seems to always be cold no matter when I have been here. Says it’s heated but definitely not. There is also a nice playground up there. All of the amenities are a hike away from the campsites. Internet sucks. We had two rainy days and school work we needed to do. Made it extremely hard. Constantly disconnects you.

I want to like this place more than I do. It’s 2 hours from us but closest and basically only one near my in-laws. It’s a business and run like a corporate business. Which is good and bad. No riff-raff. It’s quiet. Two pages of rules. But they seem to pocket the profits and put minimal back in.
