Mu husband and I are in our 60's. We have been camping for 15 years. I have to say that this was the worst experience in a campground that we have ever had. We paid for a seasonal site and we left after just 2 visits and, of course, forfeited our monies paid. They micro manage so if you want to go here and just relax and unwind, that will not happen, unless you are family. They have so many rules and they will scream at you from their knoll. We happened to be in a site that was surrounded by their family. There is a huge field right across from where our site was and I let my dog off leash for about 1 minute (she will not do her business while on the leash). It literally takes her about 30 seconds from when I release her for her to do her business. They screamed at me from their camper. Wow! Now, mind you, their daughter's dog was off leash and running around the campground and came up to my dog but she didn't react and I shooed their dog away. But, I guess that's ok. We were at the front of the campground with only 1 camper at that time (owners parents)to the right between us and the exit. We have to drive around the whole campground to get out. There were times, not many, that we forgot and just turned right instinctively. We apologized to the owner for forgetting and he was cool. A few days later, we got a nasty letter. They also accused my husband of speeding and that is so not true. Besides having a CDL, which he cannot afford to jeopardize, whenever we pulled into the campground, we dropped the jeep into 1st gear and left it there until we got to our site. We have grandchildren and there is no way we would jeopardize children's safety in any way. When I inquired about the campsite, I was told that they had wi-fi. I wasn't informed that you had to pay for it. $30/wk and half the time it didn't work. We were on site exactly 3 days, and were charged $30 for electric. Do the math. That comes out to $300 a month. I don't pay anywhere near that for my whole house!!! 30 amp service is not enough to run AC. Water pressure was next to nothing. It was impossible to take a shower or even do dishes! We left and are so glad we did. Yes, we lost money, but in the end, we are much happier.
