We love the Loyalsock State forest Bridle trails. We go up a couple times a year with our horses. The trail behind the water pump is very nice. We turned at marker 22 to marker 25. Turning right to Eagles Mere Conserv.. is a little rocky & mucky, not too bad. The trail beyond the Conser. is pretty, but gets rocky & very mucky. One horse lost 2 shoes, another horse sprung shoes. Another beautiful trail is across the road from the camping area. Marker 1. Leads to Coal Mine Road. I spoke with Brian at the Hillsgove office before our ride & told him where we wanted to ride. He & his crew went thru & made sure the trails were clear. The horse camping area is very nice. Thank you to the folks at Loyalsock State Forest for maintaining the bridle trails & supporting the folks who enjoy riding horses on the bridle trails!
