The park service doesn't mention that this place is closed. I'm assuming it is covid related because it looked like it hadn't been open for a while. We have stayed here numerous times and love this campground..
This time we stayed in one of the free sites on the road on the way to the campground since the gate was closed. It was a beautiful site, except for our neighbor threatened to shoot our dog when he was barking one morning. Not cool to experience in the middle of the woods with no cell service. We went to the 101 and called the police and when a ranger came he did absolutely nothing to dissolve the situation. Just a heads up.
