It's a nice, clean, updated campground, but there is little support and guidance. I know many, as we almost did, pass through thinking the grounds were full. Tickets hadn't been collected in weeks. In fact, the camper next to us had been squatting (unpaid) for days.
The good things though are that this is a nicely updated ground with a single well water sure (free), updated fire pits that are often exempt from some burn bans, and great access to all that Steens has to offer.
