Came up from the I-17 side, looking for a campsite I found on a popular boondocking and overlanding app. Our Jeep Wrangler made it pulling an open motorcycle trailer and my husband followed me in our Ford Transit 2wd. We got to the Vista point and took a left onto the WAY rocky forest service road 153a to get up to our spot. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SIDE QUEST WITHOUT HIGH-CLEARANCE 4WD. DO NOT DO WHAT WE DID OR YOU WILL HAVE A BAD TIME.
We got the most primo spot I've had in all my 35 years of camping.
The rest of the way down Schnebley, westbound into Sedona you absolutely need high-clearance 4wd.
