The train goes by three-four times per night!!!! It feels like it is driving through the middle of the yurt. I have a hard time feeling good about something that wakes me up 3-4 times each night, and doesn’t give me kisses. The park is beautiful. The yurt is quite warm and clean. Even on the winter days we stayed—the ductless minisplit is overpowered, so I am sure it would be cool in the summer. The skylight on the tip of the roof lets you watch the moon, so is quite pretty! But, the train!!! If the yurt were on the ground level with the rv’s it would provide some isolation from the train, but currently it is 40 feet away on flat ground on the ridge 20-30 feet higher than the rv spots. Unless you sleep like a bear hibernating in the dead of winter in inner/darkest Alaska, don’t do it.
