We’ve been going here for 6 + years. We have 10 sites on the river, for friends and family to join us and we all love the location! Great fishing for small mouth bass. Kids can catch over 50 fish a day! Great swimming areas late summer when river level lowers. A small shallow area for small kids with a sandy beach for them to play in. It can get murky if the river is too low. We usually go end of July beginning of August. But have been mid September with lots of river to play in. Lounge in the water in floaties in river pools while kids jump off rocks into the deep river pools. Or take tubes up the river walking along the rocks and float about a mile through gentle but fun rapids! Make sure to paddle to the right after the last rapids or you’ll get in the edie to the left and is harder to cross river to walk back to the rv park! Wear your river shoes, the rocks can be super hot to walk on!
Walk to town for pizza, local wineries & shops, restock food/drinks, or worms! The taco truck is highly recommended and we usually plan that for a dinner!
The resort is family owned and they are amazing with all the things and helping you back in and get set up! Sites are a bit cozy, but when you have a group there is plenty of space to hang and group together.
We always book a year in advance, for the river spots. We have a 40 ft motorhome and get in with ease. Also people on our ground have 41” fifthweels that navigate fine! It’s all gravel so scooters don’t work well, but bikes do.
