Awesome views when it’s clear. The road can be a little rough. You can see the Sister’s, Mt Washington & Three Finger Jack as well as Oregon Western Cascades! 4x4 isn’t necessary, but a high clearance vehicle is definitely a plus. Also get a map from the National Forest Service Ranger station at McKenzie Bridge. The National Forest road can be confusing, but the roads are clearly marked.
Please note that the “Lookout” maybe rented so respect the individuals/family who has rented the lookout! Luckily we were given permission to go up to the top of the Lookout.
