My husband and I have lived as permanent residents at Taylors Landing Rv park here in Waldport Oregon for over a year. Even though the park is old and run down we decided we would live here for the great fishing and crabbing opportunity that it provides. We were told our rent included water, sewer, garbage, free wi fi, electricity and paid for cable tv . We were not told however that our cellphones will not work here. The water is rusty looking and taste really bad. The laundry room is dirty and there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for over 30 spaces and they are always breaking down. The bathrooms are very run down and dirty. If you run both washing machines at the same time the floor floods. When it rains here it is a big muddy mess. The internet wifi is very slow and does not work most of the time and the new manager now tells us that the internet is not guarantee as part of the service now and if we want good internet to buy our own telephone and pay for internet through the phone company. The park has 30 amp service and the breakers kick frequently. One tenant had a big sewer spill on the ground and instead of cleaning it up the management pour a bag of lime on it and left it that way. Tenants are allowed 2 dogs yet new manager has 3 dogs. The park has been known to flood in 2 areas. The management provides gravel every winter but will not spread it. The driveways throughout the park are mud holes . We found a water line in our space that is less then 2 inches under the ground and we accidently poked a hole in it and caused a huge water leak. The park owners were there at the time and were upset at us yet it should of been buried 3 ft. deep in the ground according to code. The park has a large dock with a restaurant and boat slips. There are many rotten and loose boards and some of the floatations under the dock are missing or water lodged so they are very dangerous to walk on. Our experience here at Taylors Landing as been a nightmare to say the least. We do not recommend this RV park to anyone. Don't let their new virtual tour website fool you.
