Visited on "free parking" day, and the park was not at all busy on this beautiful fall day. Trails seemed well-maintained. Bathrooms were clean. While not breathtaking, the views along the Sandy River are lovely. Water levels were pretty low; looked like it would be a nice place to swim and relax in warmer weather. Lots of nice picnic areas. Also group-use sites that are off-limits without a permit/reservation.
