The 6 mile camp ground is by far one of the most scenic campgrounds if you are doing the overnight kayaking. We started at about 10am and ended up here at around 6pm. We didn’t paddle too hard and let the river drift us for most of it. If you actually try you could be there in 4 hours. The next day there is about an hour and a half of paddling before you are back to base. The campground is very clean and has easy access to the river. There is a lower section with room for 2 tents, and up the trail a little is a larger one (pictured below) that could probably fit 4 or 5 tents. Both campgrounds have a fire pit and one bathroom. No water or electricity, no firewood provided, and cell service is only available on the highest point about 500 ft from camp. If you are doing the overnight trip I highly recommend either sleeping here or at horseshoe bend.
