After doing state parks for the last couple years we decided to settle here this year for our first year of seasonal camping for a few reasons. First we just had our fifth child and didn’t want the hassle of moving the camper all the time with a newborn, also state parks have become so overrun with disrespectful people the last year or two I couldn’t really deal with it anymore, here I don’t have to worry about my kids being run down by the multitude of cars doing 40mph through the campground like a few of the state parks we’ve stayed at. There are LOTS of other kids here for ours to play with, multiple playgrounds for them to visit if they get bored with one, a swim lake with nice inflatables, heated saltwater pool, small fishing pond with some pretty nice fish, nice shower houses, planned activities every Saturday… LOTS to keep the kids and adults both entertained. I’m not really much of a people person or one to socialize, but the people here are great and actually make it fairly hard for me to not talk and socialize, it’s a change we weren’t sure how were going to like coming into it, but we are 100% positive we are glad we came out here. If you are looking for someplace quiet (even on a weekend when they are really filled up) and out of the way but still just a short drive to things to do and places to shop, then I would absolutely give these guys a try.
