I wasn’t pleased with this campground at all. The staff were rude and obnoxious. The “cabin” was awful. It was more like half a trailer. It was one tiny bedroom with a bathroom that didn’t have a sink. The only sink was in the bedroom area. This was more like a really cheap efficiency motel, than it was a cabin. I’ve stayed at multiple cabins in the Thousand Trails/Encore family of campgrounds with all different types of cabins but this one was by far the worst. The campground didn’t seem to have much going on either. The final straw was when I was sitting on the bed and noticed the tag on the fire extinguisher. It was 2 years past due for service. I don’t take kindly to businesses that feel cutting corners is more important than their guests safety. So after only one night into my seven night stay, I decided to leave. I was able to get rebooked into another campground by Thousand Trails, although it was in Tennessee. However, the campground in Tennessee was gorgeous and relaxing. I won’t be back to Twin Lakes, since not one person from this campground has reached out about my experience.
