This was the first place my wife and I ever camped in Vermont over 10 yrs ago and when we had to change our plans all of a sudden this year Wilgus State Park is our goto. 15mins from Walmart and Groceries, 4 mins from Dunkins, 10 mins from a laundry mat, right on the conneticut river. We never stayed at site 8 before usually go for the lean-tos, but at last minute we got site 8 right next to the water it was shady but our tp tent worked great and we stayed dry for the 2 days it rained outta the 7 we stayed, we had friends visit us that we hadnt seen since b4 covid, so this place has just been so special to us TYSM , The staff are all friendly the bathrooms with coin op showers is clean drinking water is free at 2 different spouts, and you get alot of wood for the price and it burns 2-3hrs a log which is nice, the store has sweatshirts bandanas tshirts and water bottles that procedes go back into the park . We cant say enough good when it comes to Wilgus State park you should plan a trip to stay and make your own opinion then add to my reviews
