Just got back from the Cooperstown area where we spent a week with Hartwick Highlands Campground serving as our team base camp for Dreams Park. It was perfect. Check-in was easy. The cabins, while small, offered the basics (a place to sleep and a private bathroom) and were nice and cozy. Any issues, such as our bathroom lightbulb burning out, were quickly addressed. The star of the show here was the outside. Every cabin was close enough to chat with our neighbors (all families from our team) but not so on top of each other there was no privacy. The charcoal grill and fire ring at each cabin was a hit. Each night it seemed a different family would host a fire. There was also ample amenities for the siblings of the boys who were off living in the dorms. Those who stayed at the campground had a blast swimming in the pool, playing on the playground, playing wiffle ball, hitting up the arcade, and my daughter’s favorite, meeting the resident puppies, Jedi and Zorro.
The staff couldn’t have been nicer and easier to work with during the entire process from initial booking through checkout. Not to mention the location is amazing. Everything is minutes away. Dreams Park, Cooperstown, supermarkets, amazing spots to eat. I don’t think anything I plugged into the GPS was ever further than 10 minutes away.
The only minor issue was the WiFi was spotty, but in the end I was kind of glad. We watched almost no TV (a few things on our phones) and I was too busy enjoying the surroundings to pay much attention to my phone.
10/10 would stay there again and couldn’t recommend it more for a team heading there that wants to keep all of its families together.
