3 nights here and yes busy on weekends and quiet during week. Campground manager Pam was welcoming and helpful. We did have to move our site, just our luck a private property that abuts the campground ( and the site we were at) was having yard work done with heavy equipment on Monday.
There are only two restroom buildings and one shower in each, so that feels a little less than adequate on a full weekend.
The beach is not really swimable due to rocks and very slippery conditions (due to phosphorus runoff??) which was a disappointment to us as the weather was very hot, and dogs are not allowed on the beaches, so they were super hot.
I love to stay at state campgrounds due to the quiet atmosphere and this one was very quiet and peaceful. A little road noise a night but not bad.
