This was my first ever camping in the states. We went there in a group of 4 on may 20th weekend.
It was forecasted for rains that happened and we were prepared with our tarp. The only thing we were not prepared for was the wind. It almost blew our tent away had it not been for us in it. Lol. So if you taking the site next to the lake, plan for it.
The fireplace was nice and different from the usual circular structure. The staff was super friendly. They have a place for disposing off the waste.
No signal(T-Mobile)/light signal (Verizon) in the area. You'll have to step outside for a mile or so to get it. Nearby town can provide firewood and other things you might need for camping.
Overall, it's a beautiful place and a must visit if you like to go camping.
More than enough trails and hikes near by for you to explore as well.
