This is one of the best State Parks in Oklahoma! The facilities are clean, the grounds are well kept, and the scenery and hiking trails are gorgeous, but the real draw is the one-of-a-kind night sky! Bring your camera and prepare to be amazed.
I should also note the ranger that was working at the visitor center was particularly nice and engaging with my kids. She gave them a nature scavenger hunt to complete, and when they turned them in at the end of our visit, she let them pick from some souvenirs. (stickers, keychains, etc.) The office itself was like a miniature zoo of local wildlife with live snakes, lizards and other critters on display.
I didn't love the six-hour drive from Stillwater, but this place was certainly worth the trip!
