We loved Renfro's Lakeside Retreat and highly recommend it! It was our favorite place we stayed on our trip. We stayed in cabin #4, which has its unique fun. The cabin was super clean, had comfortable beds, a nice shower, and had everything we needed for the basic cooking we did. It was incredibly peaceful and we enjoyed relaxing on the front porch taking in the beautiful view of the lake and the colorful hanging baskets. We took the kayaks out on the lake one morning, which is a nice perk of the facility. Gary was very helpful and pleasant in every interaction. The retreat is about 20 minutes north of Seward, but it's such a beautiful drive that we were glad that we had chosen to stay outside the city.
