Our first camping trip of the season was phenomenal at Fenton Lake! It's our favorite camping spot. Quiet and surrounded by trees. Great fishing with a short walk from the campsite to the lake or the river. And the staff there is very friendly. The ranger patrols often and lives on site. Rules are enforced which keeps things quiet and clean. The only down side is attempting to get a reservation. We're never disappointed when we go to Fenton, even when it suddenly snows unexpectedly. Water wasn't on at the camp site but they do have a water station to fill the fresh water tank. No dump station anywhere nearby though. We were thankful for the water. There are lots of paths and areas to walk and explore. We were cautioned to watch for bears and mountain lions and to keep dogs leashed. It's a beautiful place. We are looking forward to our next trip!
