Been here man, many times. It's a lovely, easy to access lake. However, almost the entire forest around the lake burned in 2019. All that is left is the area on the east side of the campground to the nearby stream mouth, and a small patch around the public use cabin. It's still pretty in its own way, bit not nearly as isolated-feeling as it was before, when a big truck goes by on the highway you can hear it and sometimes even see it. In the late summer the fireweed blooms should be amazing for the next several years, and morel collecting has been a hot activity here in the late spring, so it's not all bad.
