If your tired of all of the same style lakes in Nebraska that have flat prairies and sand hills, take a drive to this lake. Lots of trees. Lots of elevation change because its in the flint hills. Well thought out and spread out campsites. Cheap for a non electric camper spot too. I think it was only $5. They have a bunch of trails through the woods and around the lake with a few "hike in only" camp spots too. I would highly recommend this beautiful, quiet, well engineered lake to anyone looking for something close that is totally different from most of the other lakes I've been to in Nebraska. I traveled over2 hours to check it out and I will be back for sure.
