We had never been to Murray Bay before but we had a fabulous experience. The camp Host Jeffery was the best we had ever had. He kept the camp in perfect condition from the restrooms to the sites themselves. It was extremely tidy and he was so accommodating. The campsites are a great size but defiantly more geared toward trailers than tents. We were tent camping and thankfully got one of the more tent friendly sites (9) however the fire pit was on a slight hill so not friendly to chairs.
The group site (15) was wonderful and has amazing views. Great pull thru parking and very level but no designated tent area so we had to set up in the driveway.
Our party started at site 9&10 but when our reservation was done Jeffery offered us the group site to stay an extra day over the holiday weekend.
The water access is wonderful, we have small kids and with so much level water front it was the perfect set up. We had a blast with kayaks and paddle boards and the rope swing.
We highly recommend it and will be back!
