This is a really nice, free campground. The lake is beautiful with tons of water beetles, nymphs, and dragonflys. There's also a nesting pair of loons in the lake serenading to one another dusk and dawn. You have to go past Placid to find it and it's not really marked.

With that said, there was a family (12-15 people) who were insanely inconsiderate. They blasted their music while playing with hacky sacks and croquet - - both fairly low key activities. It sounded like the Super Bowl was going on. They were screaming and cheering over these mundane games well past quiet hours. They didn't quiet down even when they "settled" for the night. They kept their music going, screamed their stories to one another, and sang obnoxiously. Honestly, if any of you read this, buy your own private property and do that there. Don't go to a public camp ground and ruin it for everyone else. Our trip was great until you people showed up. We even cut our trip short because we didn't want to deal with any of you another night. You were a bunch of rude jerks.
